A Pakistani court has ordered the government to block access to Facebook due to a contest involving images of the Prophet Muhammad, and has also asked that the foreign ministry investigate the roots of the competition. The government has complied, telling ISPs in the country to block Facebook and any other site displaying caricature of the prophet, but the sites have not received court orders as of yet, according to Reuters.

Any depiction of the Prophet Muhammad is considered blasphemous in Islam, and recent history shows that the cartoons are no laughing matter. In 2005, the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published 12 caricatures of Muhammad, with infamous results. Over 100 people died in protests over the cartoons — including five in Pakistan — and the Danish Embassy was bombed by al-Qaeda in 2008.

But the order by the Pakistani court comes on the heels of the recent ‘South Park’ controversy; an episode that was aired last month lampooned Muhammad in a bear suit (a reference to the Jyllands-Posten controversy). As a result, show creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone received threatening messages from an online Islamist group.

I had been shopping for an HD TV for over a year. I am very picky and i invest a lot of time in research and reviews. My mind had been set on buying a Samsung knowing they are the leaders in HD tv. I also decided on the LCD until this model came out. There are loads of technical comparisons i could list but plain and simple this model compares to the Samsung’s 5 or 6 series models. Knowing that nearly all forms of broadcast TV are only 480, 720 max (including DTV, DISH, COMCAST) it was the clear choice for us. I would suggest getting the HD package your TV provider offers, only to get the most out of any HD tv. You will wonder how you watched tv without it. After all of my shopping this is the best bang for your buck.

Let’s say you have a split-level home with a basement, and install the Control Panel and 4 Motion Detectors upstairs. You also install 2 Motion Detectors in the basement. You could leave the upstairs Motion Detectors assigned to Zone 2, and assign the basement Motion Detectors to Zone 3 or 4. That way if you are in the house at night and arm the alarm, the upstairs Motion Detectors will not set off the alarm, but the basement Motion Detectors WOULD set off the alarm (if assigned to Zone 3 or 4). Very handy.

The Window/Door sensors that are included are not the most attractive pieces of hardware you’ve ever seen. The silver terminals on the magnet are exposed instead of hidden within a housing. Again, this system is only $100 so you have to be prepared to accept some features that aren’t the most desirable. They do work very well though, which is the most important feature they could have.

This grill is solid as a rock and very efficient. It fired up cleanly the first time, and it achieved a 400 degree oven heat in about 5 minutes. Beautiful, even flame. Be careful putting it together. The instructions are drawings, mostly without words, and not always as clear as they might be. But, the grill can be assembled in about an hour, even with a few retracing of steps.

The box is big and heavy but went together in about an hour. It is sturdy and solid, not like those cheaper, multi-burner models. This thing will last. Nice, even heat and can cook more than the description implys. Plus, it comes in natural gas version so no tanks to lug around.

Before I settled on the MacBook Pro, I also eyed the HP Envy 15 and Dell Studio XPS 16. While those laptops provided a better array of basic specifications (i.e. processor, hard drive, graphics card, optical drive) at a lower price, I was drawn to the portability and battery life that the MacBook Pro offered even as a “large” laptop. Small nitpicks such as the HP Envy 15 lacking a backlit keyboard and the Dell Studio XPS 16 utilizing a last-gen graphics card also helped sway my decision. (note: I am aware that the Mobility Radeon HD 4670 slightly outperforms the GeForce GT 330M. However, it requires more power and is not used in an ‘automatic graphics switching’ setup.

My research revealed a lot of good about the D90, things like better viewfinder, able to auto focus more lenses as it has the in body focus motor, built in flash commander and a better ergonomic layout amongst other things – and has many of the features also found on the D300 as well and I’d also checked out the D5000 too but in the end, liked the D90 better with it’s more direct access to the more common features via the 2 command dials and less menu diving for the basics, the better penta prism viewfinder was a boon since I oftentimes find myself shooting in low light, dusk/night while out and about using what available lighting there is and Nikon D90 DX Digital SLR Camera’s superb high ISO performance, something cameras like the D80 with it’s older CCD based sensors just don’t do as well as with cameras that have the newer CMOS sensors.

Overall, this is the best Pokemon game to date. It has the most features, the best graphics, the most gameplay- everything. If you’re a Pokemon fan, this is absolutely Pokemon SoulSilver Version to get (especially SS over HG- I prefer Lugia). And don’t forget the Pokewalker! As if these games didn’t have enough stuff already, they includes a little pedometer that raises the levels and happiness of your Pokemon while you play little minigames to catch additional Pokemon and items. That’s a lot of content.
