Samsung PN50C430 Plasma HDTV : You cannot buy a better HDTV for thE money than thia plasma HDTV. I also own a Pioneer 50″ plasma 720P and a 54″ Panasonic Viera 1080P plasma HDTV and if you sit within 12 feet of the TV, you cannot tell the difference bwtween 720P and 1080P. The Samsung is clear and crisp. My son and I watch mostly sports primarily baseball and basketball and we are both impressed with the resolution and quality of the picture and sound.

I had been shopping for an HD TV for over a year. I am very picky and i invest a lot of time in research and reviews. My mind had been set on buying a Samsung knowing they are the leaders in HD tv. I also decided on the LCD until this model came out. There are loads of technical comparisons i could list but plain and simple this model compares to the Samsung’s 5 or 6 series models. Knowing that nearly all forms of broadcast TV are only 480, 720 max (including DTV, DISH, COMCAST) it was the clear choice for us. I would suggest getting the HD package your TV provider offers, only to get the most out of any HD tv. You will wonder how you watched tv without it. After all of my shopping this is the best bang for your buck.

I never heard back from Sharp, so I went on line with Amazon, clicked on order history, need replacement, explained why and was immediately notified by Amazon that they would send me an exact replacement with 1 day shipping and a free shipping label to send back the bad set. Received an email confirmation. The next morning, UPS delivered the replacement, I took the base off the old, attached it to the new, plugged it in, took 5 minutes to program channels, then tested the DVD player which worked like a charm.

The picture on this TV was stunning right out of the box. After a few minor adjustments it was as close to perfect as I could imagine. It came with the SQ01 panel and it would be hard to differentiate the color depth and quality from some of the plasma sets I looked at. The TV is in a very bright room and the matte screen cuts out glare with no picture degradation. The viewing angle is very good, though we are never more than 25 to 30 degrees off center. The picture is very stable from channel to channel with no change in the back lighting that I can see, and the standard definition picture is almost HD quality when using the 16:9 picture format.

Well what can I say, an awesome TV, watched Avatar on Blu-Ray and it was simply amazing, I even watched it on a upconverted DVD player and it still looked good. Love rewatching (not sure if that is a word) Lord of the Rings upconverted to 1080p. My Sony XBR6 which is not that old does not even compete. The only problem when you watch something on a 40 inch with this much clarity you are wanting a bigger picture. I bought Samsung LN40C630 LCD HDTV because it was under $800, free shipping and all the positive reviews. Cannot complain was almost ready to buy another one cause the picture was that good. You know recession and all, so I will just sit back and enjoy Samsung LN40C630 LCD HDTV hooked up to my PS3, even played some MW2 with my laptop hooked up with HDMI and that was awesome. If you are looking for 40 inch that has a great picture for under 800 look no further.

Samsung UN55B8000 Review: As for the other features of this set; the internet widgets are pretty cool, but slow. I especially like the YouTube widget. The DLNA network feature is also a nice addition, but the interface is also slow and not very intuitive. I’m hoping that a future firmware upgrade would improve the functionality. The content library feature is my favorite. It allows you to display a slideshow of artwork or other pics with soft background music – great for parties. LG 42LH40 Reviews: This TV only needed some MINOR calibration to make the brightness/colors what they should be. I had to heavily calibrate my other HDTVs, but this one only needed a little calibration to have perfectly accurate colors. It has 4 HDMI ports (more than I would ever need!), an optical audio port, and some analog ports (which I won’t ever need to use, considering it has 4 HDMI ports!). I can’t wait to purchase a Blu-Ray home theater system to compliment this new TV, but LG has decided that Europe and Korea are the only places that deserve their RESPECTABLE Blu-Ray home theater in a box systems.

I just got this TV in the mail yesterday afternoon, and I wanted to try it out right away to make sure it worked ok. This is first TV I have bought mail order. Everything seemed to work ok, and I didn’t even have to read the owner’s manual to set it up. It was very easy to use, and all of the ports worked great. I can’t wait to see if I will be able to pick up local channels when we are camping. I bought this TV to use in my camper, and what will be our family play room downstairs (I am still working on it). Since camping season has begun, I have already set it up in the camper, and my son and I will be having our first campout here very soon. I’m glad I was able to find a good TV, because I had read over a lot reviews before I choose this one. Price, ease of use, portability, size, and the types of reviews is how I came to pick this TV. The TV was in perfect condition, wrapped in that foam cloth stuff and with the prerequisite plastic film over the frame bezel. Easy to remove all of that stuff and it didn’t leave any trace of sticky residue which was nice. Jacks are group on the rear left with the USB and headphone jacks on the left side but behind the bezel. This TV is very thin and not all that secure on it’s stand. The stand is fine, but I would recommend strapping it down whenever you put it unless you use a wall mount of some kind. Just sitting on a table you are one false move away from turning your beautiful LED TV into a doorstop. And the TV itself is very nice to look at, very easy on the eyes really.
